Painter, sculptress, composer, activist and classically trained musician, Ono has had a varied career, solo and with her husband John Lennon. Her influence was a significant factor in the British New Wave of the late Seventies and beyond, directly leading to artists such as Siouxsie and the Banshees, Lene Lovich, the B-52's, X, and Talking Heads.
